No exaggerated high-key like you know from these “trash“ sets … organic, or my part in the whole thing.
Tattoos sind ihre Leidenschaft und man kann das auch sehen. An Marinas Tattoos schätze ich, dass sie nicht einfach nur „bunt“ sind, nein, jedes Sujet auf ihrem Körper hat eine für sie wichtige Bedeutung. Und es werden im Laufe der Zeit immer mehr, so wie die Momente, die wir in unserem Leben sammeln. Beim Set wollte ich beides in Szene setzen, also das Model, so wie sie halt ist, und ihren Körperschmuck, ohne viel drum herum. So wurde es die weiß-gelbliche Studiowand. Und die hab ich auch so gelassen, kein übertriebenes High-Key wie man es aus diesen „Thrash“ Sets so kennt… organic eben, oder anders mein Anteil an der ganzen Sache. Da ist die Wand zu sehen und nicht ein weißes etwas, da gibt es auch den Anflug eines Schattens und die Haut ist noch als solche zu erkennen, der Kontrast zu den Tattoos geschieht dann von ganz alleine, ganz so wie wenn Marina beim Betrachter zu Besuch wäre.
Tattoos are her passion and you can see that, too. What I also appreciate about Marina‘s tattoos is that they aren’t just “colorful”, no, every subject on her body is meaningful to her. And over time, their number increases. On set, I wanted to do both justice – the model in her authentic beauty as well as her body decorations, without much going around it. So it was the white yellowish studio wall. And I left it that way, no exaggerated high-key like you know from these “trash“ sets … organic, or my part in the whole thing. You can see the wall instead of something white, there is also a hint of a shadow and the skin can still be recognized as such, the contrast to the tattoos then appears all by itself, just as if Marina were to visit the beholder.
