Die satirische Persiflage einer satirischen Persiflage ist ein besonders anspruchsvolles Thema. Dabei kann man eigentlich nur Verlieren… aber der Reihe nach. Beim Shoot hatte Marina ihren Einhornsnuggler mitgebracht und ich musste sofort an jene Satire der Hippie-Ära denken: Das unsichtbare pinke Einhorn welches als Persiflage verschiedener Glaubenssysteme irgendwann einmal so um 1968 durch die Szene geisterte. Ja, dann ran an die Wand und durch. Soweit so gut, irgendwie waren mir die S/W Varianten aber optisch einfach gefälliger und dies ist schließlich auch eine Art Satire, sehen doch Anhänger diverser Glaubensgemeinschaften die Welt nicht gerade unoft in Schwarz und Weiß… Man kann sich aber auch nur das Set als solches der Bilder wegen ansehen, so wie man in eine Kathedrale geht der Architektur wegen… ganz wie es über 250 Jahre zuvor schon ein Staatsmann auf den Punkt brachte, nämlich Friedrich II. von Preußen, genannt der „alte Fritz“: “Es werde jeder glücklich nach seiner Fasson.”

For the shoot, Marina had brought her unicorn snuggler and I immediately had to think of that satire of the hippie era: The invisible pink unicorn which haunted the scene around 1968 as a pastiche of various belief systems and which yes, then hit the wall and went through. So far so good, but somehow the black and white versions were visually more pleasing to me and this is also a kind of satire, after all. Followers of various religious communities often see the world in black and white.But you can also just look at the set for its beauty, as one goes into a cathedral because of the architecture … Just as a statesman put it 250 years earlier, namely “old Fritz”, alias Frederick II of Prussia: Everyone will be happy according to their own style.
